![]() ![]() You call me and set up an appointment to meet : 805-886-3003. If you are out of town, we can meet on the phone or in a video conference and get to know each other a bit. You decide if I am a good fit for your wedding. I ask for a $200 deposit to reserve the date on my calendar - you can send i t to 30 E Calle Laureles, Santa Barbara, CA, 93105, or use Pay Pal. We will then set a meeting time for a follow up meeting to talk more about the ceremony and if you would want to do any pre-marital counseling. How much do you charge?
What is the deal with premarital counseling? I don’t require it, but I always think it’s a good idea. I offer to do three to four counseling sessions to look at your relationship strengths and growth areas and give you feedback and practice at communication and conflict resolution. I am a certified to use a program called prepare and enrich that does a comprehensive survey of your relationship and gives us a variety of things to discuss together Do you come to the rehearsal? Typically I don’t need to come to the rehearsal. Wedding coordinators run the show and I just get in the way. We will have met by this time and you will have an outline of my part. The rehearsal is mainly for the people walking in to know where to stand. If you need me to be at or run the rehearsal, this can be arranged for an extra fee of $100. How long is the average wedding? 20-30 minutes is the basic time once it gets started. If we add extra things in like readings, songs, unity candles or sand, etc. it may take a little longer, but rarely over 30 minutes for an outside wedding. Do you do weddings in the Santa Ynez Valley? Absolutely. I have married couples at Roblar, Firestone, Bridlewood and other wineries in the area. I typically charge $100 for the extra time and travel to get to the valley. |
